Alignment is a numeral value assigned to a player ranging from -1000 to 1000, with 0 being Neutral. Alignment currently only affects the guild standing of Paladins.
As a player defeats hostile enemies, their alignment will increase. If a player attacks an enemy that is not hostile, they will lose alignment value.
